I don't know about you, but the American Idol show is evidence of just how scripted American pop music is. In the British version, the winner released a single that went to #1. The winners of the Pop Stars show are also really pop stars.

But it doesn't start there. You have to wonder exactly how much control the RIAA has over radio stations. If you can't distribute your music, you can't get popular. The RIAA has a stronghold on radio time, is it any wonder they are trying to get a stranglehold on internet music distribution?
