On the inherent inaccuracy of telephone polls in the 2004 election season

Americablog has an entry on how polls during this election season are inaccurate, perhaps greatly so. This is due to a selection bias resulting from skipping cell phone users.

Keep in mind that polls may shape who gets out the vote and who ends up in the voting booth. I'm not sure which direction this will work.
